| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Remove front seat. | AR91.10-P-1000S | |
| 2 | Remove outer trims at seat frame. | AR91.10-P-1201S | |
| 3 | Remove inner trims at seat frame. | AR91.10-P-1202S | |
| 4 | Remove front trim from seat frame. | AR91.10-P-1203S | |
| 5 | Remove holder of front trim from seat frame. | Model 223 except code 682 (Fire extinguisher) |

| 6 | Open cover of electrical connectors (1) at underside of seat. | Fig 1 | |
| 7 | Detach electrical connectors (1) and disconnect. | ||
| 8 | Expose electric lines of electrical connectors (1). | ||
| 9 | Disconnect electrical connector from Weight Sensing System control unit (N110). | Only on front passenger side. | |
| 10 | Release Weight Sensing System control unit (N110) from seat adjustment unit. | Only on front passenger side. | |
Ensure that hose (6) is routed correctly below spring element (7). Malfunctions can otherwise occur. |

| 11 | Expose and disconnect pneumatic line (2). | Model 223 with code 432 (Dynamic seats left and right) |

| 12 | Unhook terminal strips (3) all the way round. | Fig 3 | |
| 13 | Slide seat cushion padding (4) abruptly towards rear and unhook securing bracket (5) from seat adjustment unit. | ||
| 14 | Remove seat cushion padding (4). | ||
| 15 | Remove outer cover from seat cushion padding (4). | When replacing seat cushion padding (4) on driver's side. | |
