	Remove/install
1	Remove respective rear seat cushion padding.		AR91.12-P-1022SA
2.1	Remove seat belt buckle from left rear seat.	When removing seat backrest (1) in left rear passenger compartment.
			AR91.40-P-1526SA
2.2	Remove seat belt buckle from right rear seat.	When removing seat backrest (1) in right rear passenger compartment.
			AR91.40-P-1528SA
3.1	Remove seat belt guide from seat backrest (1) and allow to hang down at seat belt.	Model 223 with code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) except code 224 (Individual rear seats) except code U07 (Seat belt extender in rear passenger compartment) Model 223 with code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) with code 224 (Individual rear seats) except code U07 (Seat belt extender in rear passenger compartment)

3.2	Remove seat belt guide from seat backrest (1) and allow to hang down at seat belt.	Model 223 with code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) with code 224 (Individual rear seats) with code U07 (Seat belt extender in rear passenger compartment) Model 223 with code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) with code U07 (Seat belt extender in rear passenger compartment) except code 224 (Individual rear seats)

		Seat belt feeder arm and trim ring do not have to be removed.
4	Remove screw/bolts (2).	Bolt, seat adjustment unit to body	*BA91.12-P-1002-03L
5	Remove screws/bolts (4).	Bolt, backrest to body	*BA91.12-P-1003-03L
6	Tilt seat backrest (1) forwards.
7	Disconnect electrical connection (3).	The number of electrical connectors (3) may vary depending on the equipment variant involved.
8	Disconnect pneumatic line.	Model 223 with code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) with code 224 (Individual rear seats) with code 406 (Multicontour rear seat) Model 223 with code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) with code 406 (Multicontour rear seat) except code 224 (Individual rear seats)
9	Remove seat backrest (1).	Carefully remove backrest (1) from vehicle. Otherwise components of the vehicle may be damaged.
10	Install in the reverse order.
