  Notes on aerosol extinguishing agent tank   AH86.10-P-0001-02A 
  Preparatory activity     
1 Open hood and trunk lid.    
2 Remove rear panel trim (2).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4750SG
INSPECT Check     
3 Check extinguishing agent tank (1). If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
AP86.10-P-8656S 
4 Check trunk extinguishing agent line (3) for damage, corrosion, routing, chafe marks and firm seating. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
5 Lift vehicle with vehicle lift.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR00.60-P-1006A
6 Check fire-extinguishing system temperature sensors (5).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.

7 Check all atomizer nozzle cover caps (7) for damage and completeness. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
REMOVING Remove     
8 Remove front engine compartment lining, center engine compartment lining and rear engine compartment lining.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR61.20-P-1105S

REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR
Remove technical underbody protection.   AR61.40-P-1001S
INSPECT Check     
10 Check all extinguishing agent distributors (6) on underbody for damage, corrosion, routing, chafe marks and firm seating. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
11 Check all extinguishing agent lines on underbody for damage, corrosion, routing, chafe marks and firm seating. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
12 Check all atomizer nozzles (7) on underbody for damage, blockage and corrosion. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
13 Check all fasteners and connections of atomizer nozzles (7) on underbody for damage, corrosion, chafe marks and firm seating. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
INSTALLING Install     
14 Install technical underbody protection.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR61.40-P-1001S
15 Install front engine compartment lining, center engine compartment lining and rear engine compartment lining.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR61.20-P-1105S
INSPECT Check     
16 Check atomizer nozzle cover caps (7) for correct positioning and firm seating.    
17 Lower vehicle with vehicle lift.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR00.60-P-1006A
18 Check all cover caps of outlets in engine compartment (8) for damage and completeness. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
19 Remove all cover caps from outlets in engine compartment (8) and check all outlets in engine compartment (8) for damage, blockage and corrosion. If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.
 
20 Check fire-extinguishing system temperature sensors (5).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.

INSTALLING Install     
21 Install all cover caps of outlets in engine compartment (8).    
INSPECT Check     
22 Perform self-test for fire-extinguishing system.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR   If problems are determined,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.

  Finishing activity     
23 Install rear panel trim (2).    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR68.30-P-4750SG
24 Close hood and trunk lid.
