| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||

| 4 | Unclip electrical connector for left lambda sensor upstream of the catalytic converter (G3/3x1) from the holder (1). | ||
| 5 | Release and disconnect electrical connector for left lambda sensor upstream of the catalytic converter (G3/3x1). | ||
| 6 | Expose electric line (2). | ||
| 7 | Remove lambda sensor (G3/3). | Fig 3 | |
| 8 | Cover sensor tip of the lambda sensor (G3/3) with a protective cover. | If the lambda sensor (G3/3) will be re-used. |

| 10 | Remove protective cover or cover cap from the sensor tip of the lambda sensor (G3/3). | ||
| 11 | Coat thread of lambda sensor (G3/3) with heat-resistant lubricating paste. | If the lambda sensor (G3/3) will be re-used. Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20 |
