Remove/Install Intake Air Temperature Sensor - AR07.04-P-0035SVZ

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove engine cover. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Install the engine cover only after the engine test run. AR01.10-P-2405SVZ
2 Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.    
3 Carefully press tabs (arrows) together and remove intake air temperature sensor (B17). IMPORTANT Seal off opening.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Apply lubricant to the O-ring (2).

    SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 2
INSPECT Check     
4 Check intake air temperature sensor (B17) and O-ring (2) for wear and damage. If damage or wear is present:

Replace intake air temperature sensor (B17).
 
5 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
6 Read out and delete fault memory using vehicle diagnosis system.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
7 Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
