| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Detach right charge air cooler and place to one side with coolant hoses connected. | AR09.41-P-6828SVZ | |
| 2 | Remove right charge air pipe downstream of exhaust gas turbocharger. | AR09.41-P-1333SVZ | |
| 3 | Remove screw (3). | *BA15.10-P-1001-04C | |
| 4 | Unscrew screws (2) and remove heat shield (1). | *BA15.10-P-1002-04C | |
| 5 | Release and disconnect the electrical connections (4). | ||
| 6 | Unscrew screws (5) at ignition coils (T1/1, T1/2, T1/3, T1/4, T1/5, T1/6). | *BA15.10-P-1001-04C | |
| 7 | Pull off ignition coils (T1/1, T1/2, T1/3, T1/4, T1/5, T1/6) upward and remove. | Apply spark plug connector grease before installation of spark plug connector to reduce the draw-off/attachment forces. Otherwise the spark plug connector will be damaged when removed again. |

| 8 | Check ignition coils (T1/1, T1/2, T1/3, T1/4, T1/5, T1/6) and spark plug connectors for damage. | If damage is present: ↓ Replace corresponding ignition coil (T1/1, T1/2, T1/3, T1/4, T1/5, T1/6) and/or corresponding spark plug connector. |

| 9 | Check ignition coils (T1/1, T1/2, T1/3, T1/4, T1/5, T1/6) and spark plug connectors for contact corrosion. | If contact corrosion is present: ↓ Clean corresponding contact or replace ignition coil (T1/1, T1/2, T1/3, T1/4, T1/5, T1/6) and/or corresponding spark plug connector. |
