REMOVING Remove
1 Remove cover over brake fluid reservoir.
2 Clean area around cap of brake fluid reservoir. Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
3 Remove cap of brake fluid reservoir and suction off some brake fluid. IMPORTANT This prevents the brake fluid reservoir from overflowing when the brake pistons are pushed back.
4 Remove front wheels.   AR40.10-P-1102A
5 Release and disconnect electrical connector (3) of brake lining wear sensor (S10/2) from brake caliper (2). When removing brake linings (4) at front right.
6 Remove electrical wiring harness of brake lining wear sensor (S10/2) from brake caliper (2). When removing brake linings (4) at front right.
7 Drive out bolts (7) using a suitable tool and remove.
8 Unscrew screw (8), replace with guide pin, and tighten guide pin slightly. SPECIAL TOOL Guide bolts Fig 1
9 Unscrew screw (9), replace with guide pin, and tighten guide pin slightly. SPECIAL TOOL Guide bolts Fig 1
10 Push brake caliper (2) with connected brake hose to side onto guide pin. NOTES
Do not stretch, crush or kink the brake hoses and brake lines.
This leads to damage to the brake hoses and brake lines, and it can impair their function.

11 Remove brake linings (4) from brake caliper (2).
12 Unclip spreader spring (5) from brake caliper (2) and remove.
13 Pull brake lining wear sensor (S10/2) out of backing plate of brake lining (4). When replacing brake linings (4) or when replacing brake lining wear sensor (S10/2).
IMPORTANT Pay attention to the installation location of the brakepad wear sensor (S10/2).

14 Press back brake pistons with pusher tool. IMPORTANT Secure remaining brake pistons using two SPECIAL TOOL wedges against slipping out.
