	Remove
1	Remove driver's door.		AR72.10-P-0500S
2	Remove powertrain control unit gateway.		AR54.21-P-0026S
3	Remove front SAM control unit.		AR54.21-P-1254S
4	Unclip electric lines from holder (2) (arrows).
5	Unscrew nuts (1) and remove holder (2).
6	Press damping (3) to one side until nuts (4) can be removed.
7	Remove nuts (4), release A-pillar hinge leaf (5) and remove.	Mark position of A-pillar hinge leaf (5).

8	Remove seal under A-pillar hinge leaf (5).
9	Clean A-pillar in area of hinge support.	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
10	Unscrew screw (6) and remove driver's door hinge leaf (7).	Mark position of driver's door hinge leaf (7).
	Install
11	Align driver's door hinge leaf (7) with driver's door using the markings applied previously and screw in screw (6).	Model 223 except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Screw, hinge to front door	*BA72.10-P-1002-01BA
12	Align A-pillar hinge leaf (5) with seal on A-pillar using the markings applied previously and attach nuts (4).	Helper required for exact positioning and holding of A-pillar hinge leaf (5).

13	Position damping (3).
14	Position holder (2) and install nuts (1).
15	Clip electric lines into holder (2) (arrows).
16	Install front SAM control unit.		AR54.21-P-1254S
17	Install powertrain control unit.		AR54.21-P-0026S
18	Install driver's door.		AR72.10-P-0500S
19	Open and close driver door.	The installation position of the driver door may change later due to opening and closing.
	Check
20	Check gap dimensions on the driver's door, adjust.		AR72.10-P-0550S
21	Repair paint damage at respective screw heads.
22	Protect driver's door and A-pillar in the area of the hinge against corrosion.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
