Remove/Install Sealing Frame Of Front Door - AR72.10-P-0011S

REMOVING Remove     
1 Release door trim (2) at top in area of A-pillar to extent that window frame lining (3) can be unclipped and sealing frame (1) exposed.   AR72.10-P-6575S 
2 Unclip window frame lining (3). SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 2
3 Remove retaining clip remaining in window frame (5) and install in window frame lining (3). SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge Fig 2
4 Remove sealing frame (1).    
5 Remove adhesive residues at front door (4) using a surface conditioning disk and clean bonding surface. IMPORTANT The bonding surface must be free of dust and grease.
IMPORTANT Use surface conditioning disk with a diameter of 100 mm.
 
    Cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1025-04A 
INSTALLING Install     
6 Remove spacer strip (6) by approx. 2 cm at end of new sealing frame (1)./ IMPORTANT Detach the spacer strip (6) at end of new sealing frame (1) where insert is located.  
7 Remove protective film (7) in stages and attach sealing frame (1) to inner door panel, starting in the center of the lower door edge. IMPORTANT Glue on sealing frame (1) first with end where insert is located.
IMPORTANT Align sealing frame (1) with assembly points (arrows A), as shown, underneath the beltline.
IMPORTANT Spacer strip (6) of sealing frame (1) must be in contact with window frame (5) without gaps in the bonding area.
 
8 Determine protrusion of sealing frame (1) at lower door edge and cut off. IMPORTANT Cut off protrusion so that there is no gap between the two ends of sealing frame (1).  
9 Connect both ends of sealing frame (1).    
10 Firmly roll on sealing frame (1) using roller. SPECIAL TOOL Roller Fig 1
11 Completely remove spacer strip (6) from sealing frame (1), starting at detached end.    
12 Wet side window seal in assembly area of window frame lining (3) with lubricant. Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L *BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
13 Clip in window frame lining (3). IMPORTANT Ensure correct seating of the window frame paneling (3).  
14 Fasten door trim (2).   AR72.10-P-6575S
