Remove/Install Lower Hinge Of Rear Door - AR72.12-P-2663S

	Remove
1	Mark installation position of rear door in relation to rear fender and longitudinal member panel with suitable adhesive strips.
2	Open front door and rear door.
3	Lower side window of the rear door completely.
4	Adjust front seat toward the front to end position.
5	Remove front reversible belt tensioner.		AR91.40-P-1010S
6	Remove dampening (3).
7	Remove cover cap and unscrew grub screw (2) by three revolutions.
8	Close rear door.
9	Mark installation position of B-pillar hinge leaf (1.2) and rear door hinge leaf (1.3).
10	Unscrew screw (4).
11	Remove nuts (5).
12	Release B-pillar hinge leaf (1.2), remove rear door hinge leaf (1.3), and remove B-pillar hinge leaf (1.2).
13	Remove seal below the B-pillar hinge leaf (1.2).
14	Clean B-pillar in the area of the B-pillar hinge leaf (1.2).	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
	Install
15	Insert B-pillar hinge leaf (1.2) with new seal.
16	Insert rear door hinge leaf (1.3) into B-pillar hinge leaf (1.2).
17	Position screw (4) up to end stop.
18	Position nuts (5) up to end stop.
19	Align rear door hinge leaf (1.3) based on markings and tighten screw (4).	Model 223 except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)	*BA72.12-P-1001-01U

20	Correct installation position of rear door based on adhesive strips and tighten nuts (5).	Aid of helper required.

	Check
21	Open and close rear door.	The installation position of the driver door may change later due to opening and closing.
22	Check gap dimensions at the rear door and adjust.		AR72.12-P-0650S
	Install
23	Repair paint damage at respective screw heads.
24	Tighten grub screw (2).	Model 223 except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) Grub screw for hinge separation	*BA72.12-P-1015-01U
25	Repair paint damage on grub screw (2).
26	Protect rear door and B-pillar in the area of the hinge (1) against corrosion.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
27	Install cover cap of grub screw (2).
28	Install dampening (3).
29	Install front reversible belt tensioner.		AR91.40-P-1010S
30	Remove adhesive strips from rear fender and longitudinal member panel.
