Remove/Install Lower Hinge Of Driver Door - AR72.10-P-0003S

	Notes on safety-relevant components		AH00.00-Z-0019-01A
	Remove
1	Remove driver's door.		AR72.10-P-0500S
2	Remove powertrain control unit.		AR54.21-P-0026S
3	Disconnect electrical connectors at distribution board (1).
4	Unclip distribution board (1) (arrows) and place to one side.
5	Remove nuts (2), release A-pillar hinge leaf (5) and remove.	Mark position of A-pillar hinge leaf (5).

6	Remove seal under A-pillar hinge leaf (5).
7	Clean A-pillar in area of hinge support.	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
8	Unscrew screw (3) and remove driver's door hinge leaf (4).	Mark position of driver's door hinge leaf (4).
	Install
9	Use previously applied markings to align driver's door hinge leaf (4) with driver's door and screw in screw (2).	Screw, hinge to front door	*BA72.10-P-1002-01BA
10	Use previously applied markings to align A-pillar hinge leaf (5) with seal on A-pillar and attach nuts (2).	Helper required for exact positioning and holding of A-pillar hinge leaf (5).
		Nut, hinge to A-pillar	*BA72.10-P-1001-01BA
11	Clip in distribution board (1).
12	Connect electrical connectors at distribution board (1).
13	Install powertrain control unit.		AR54.21-P-0026S
14	Install driver's door.		AR72.10-P-0500S
15	Open and close driver door.	The installation position of the driver door may change later due to opening and closing.
	Check
16	Check gap dimensions on the driver's door, adjust.		AR72.10-P-0550S
	Install
17	Repair paint damage at respective screw heads.
18	Protect driver's door and A-pillar in the area of the hinge against corrosion.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
