Notice	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
	Remove
1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m).
2	Remove front bumper.	Model 223 Model 223.0/1	AR88.20-P-2000S
3	Mark screws (1, 2, 3, 4) relative to installation location and remove.
4	Mask off front lamp unit (E1, E2) in area of fender with tape.	When reusing front lamp unit (E1, E2).
5	Fold cover in front wheel arch to one side and remove electrical wiring harness (7) from front lamp unit (E1, E2).	Dismantling tool	Fig 1
6	Pull out front lamp unit (E1, E2) far enough until electrical connector (5) is accessible.
7	Release and disconnect electrical connector (5).
8	Remove front lamp unit (E1, E2).
9	Remove LED headlamp voltage converter control unit.	When replacing front lamp unit (E1, E2).	AR82.10-P-4662S
10	Remove LED headlamp range control, control unit.	When replacing front lamp unit (E1, E2).	AR82.10-P-4661S
	Install
11	Install LED headlamp range control, control unit.	When replacing front lamp unit (E1, E2).	AR82.10-P-4661S
12	Install LED headlamp voltage converter control unit.	When replacing front lamp unit (E1, E2).	AR82.10-P-4662S
13	Mask off new front lamp unit (E1, E2) in area of fender with tape.	When replacing front lamp unit (E1, E2).
14	Position front lamp unit (E1, E2) and connect electrical connector (5).
15	Insert front lamp unit (E1, E2).
16	Tighten screws (1, 2, 3, 4) lightly by hand.	Observe installation location of screws (1, 2, 3, 4). Otherwise, the front lamp unit (E1, E2) will be damaged if different length screws (1, 2, 3, 4) are used.
17	Fold cover in front wheel arch to one side and attach electrical wiring harness (7) to front lamp unit (E1, E2).
18	Install front bumper.	Model 223 Model 223.0/1 Only close maintenance flap in front fender liner and cover (6) after aligning and tightening the lamp unit (E1, E2).	AR88.20-P-2000S
19	Align front lamp unit (E1, E2) and tighten screws (3, 2, 4, 1) in specified sequence.	Model 223 Model 223.0/1	AR60.00-P-0900-01S

20	Close maintenance flap in front fender liner.
21	Install cover (6).
22	Remove tape from front lamp unit (E1, E2).
23	Perform commissioning of front lamp unit (E1, E2) using vehicle diagnosis system.	When replacing front lamp unit (E1, E2).

24	Check and correct headlamp adjustment.
