REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install
1 Warm up Engine to normal operating temperature.
2 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).
3 Remove spark plugs.
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install upper Engine cover after the leak test. AP15.10-P-1580J
4 Unscrew cap of coolant expansion reservoir.
5 Unscrew oil filler cap.
6 Remove front section of the front right fender liner.   AR88.10-P-1301MFA
7 Turn Engine at belt pulley of crankshaft in direction of Engine rotation until piston of cylinder to be checked is at top dead center (ignition TDC). NOTES Do not turn Engine opposite direction of Engine rotation.
Otherwise, the timing chain will jump and Engine damage will occur.
