	Check
1	Check general condition of tire	In event of damage to side wall or outside the repair area, provisional sealing may not be used. Otherwise, the tire function cannot be ensured.
2	Search for point of damage on tire and mark with chalk (3)	Leakage spray can be used for assistance wen searching for the damage point.
		If a damage point cannot be located, provisional sealing is not possible. The search can also be performed on a removed wheel and tire assembly.

3	Remove damage-causing object from tire using suitable tool
4	Check course, size and position of hole orifice at damage point	Hole orifices outside a specified repair area and over 6 mm in diameter may not be repaired. A complete sealing of the hole orifice cannot be assured.
	Provisionally seal
5	Screw hand milling cutter (2) in clockwise direction several times into and out of damage point's hole orifice	The hole orifice is cleaned here. Alternatively, a commercially available 6 mm carbide milling cutter tip may also be used with a drill machine or a cordless screwdriver.

6	Hook sealing body (4) into awl (10) and pull firmly downwards towards end of eyelet	The awl (10) must be plugged upwards into the end of the eyelet through the sealing body (4). Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
7	Release flipper handle on flipper handle awl (5) by applying thumb pressure to mounting frame bow (8) and opening up to end stop	Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
8	Hook sealing body (4) into clamping hooks (9) of flipper handle awl (5) and close flipper handle again	Check sealing body (4) for cracks. Otherwise, the sealing body (4) may fracture when pressed into the hole orifice.

9	Closed flipper handle awl (5) with clamped sealing body (4) in Special Cement BL (1)	Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
10	Feed awl (10) with clamped sealing body (4) in hole orifice up to end stop	The awl (10) shall not be twisted when the sealing body (4) is inserted. Otherwise, a firm seating of the sealing body (4) cannot be assured. Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
11	Operate push button (7) on flipper handle awl (5) and position sealing body (4) into hole orifice.	Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
12	Pull flipper handle awl (5) out of hole orifice	The awl (10) may not be twisted when pulling out. Otherwise, a firm seating of the sealing body (4) cannot be assured. Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
13	Cut off protruding end of sealing body (4) using knife (6) flush at the contact surface	Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
	Check
14	Correct air pressure of complete wheel to meet manufacturer's specifications
15	Check damage point for leak tightness	The leak tightness of the damage point must be assured. In the event of any pressure loss on the complete wheel, the vehicle's road safety is no longer guaranteed.
		Leakage spray can be used for assistance when checking for a leak.

16	Fit "Maximum permissible speed limit to 80 Km/h" information label into driver's field of vision	Temporary tire sealing	*BR00.45-Z-1021-08A
17	Document "Provisional tire repair" roadside assistance on "Service 24h Auftrag-Mercedes-Benz and smart" and have customer sign it
