| 4 | Remove screw (2). | ||
| 5 | Remove expansion rivets (3) from front fender liner. | ||

| 7 | Release and lift the underfloor paneling on the side until the retaining clips (5) are accessible. | ||

| 9 | Unclip longitudinal member panel (1) along longitudinal member and remove. | Fig 1 | |
| 10 | Place the longitudinal member panel (1) on a clean, soft base. | ||

| 11 | Check old retaining clips (5, 5a, 6) for damage. | If damage is identifiable, ↓ replace damaged retaining clips (5, 5a, 6). |
