Power Take-Off (PTO) Concerns

DIAGNOSTIC ROUTINES - POWER TAKE-OFF (PTO) CONCERNS

Powertrain Control System
PCM (gasoline engines), Transmission Control Module (TCM) (diesel engines), vehicle wiring harnesses, transmission internal harness, Power Take-Off (PTO) switch, PTO input, park brake switch, Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch, Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor, Turbine Shaft Speed (TSS) sensor required for correct elevated idle and Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) engagements in PARK and NEUTRAL and for correct line pressure	Carry out On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) tests. Refer to the INTRODUCTION - GASOLINE MODELS for diagnosis and testing of the PCM. For gasoline engines, GO to PINPOINT TEST B and GO to PINPOINT TEST D . For diesel engines, GO to PINPOINT TEST G and GO to PINPOINT TEST I . Repair as required. Clear the DTCs, road test and rerun OBD test.
