Remove/Install Electronic Ignition Lock Control Unit - AR54.21-P-0038ME

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Clamp off ground line of on-board electrical system battery (G1).   AR54.10-P-0003ME 
2 Remove front floor covering on driver side.   AR68.80-P-0007ME
3 Cut through cable tie (2) on hose (1) and pull off hose (1) upwards. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace cable tie (2).  
4 Release and disconnect electrical connector (3) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73).    
5 Remove floor covering at front on front passenger side from center console and fold over.    
6 Release and disconnect electrical plug (4) from electronic ignition lock control unit (N73).    
7 Push out electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) in direction of arrow from right to left using assembly tool (5) and remove. NOTES
Carefully push out electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) using assembly tool (5). Otherwise, the contact socket on the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) may be damaged.
 
    SPECIAL TOOL Assembly tool Fig 2
8 Install in the reverse order    
9 Commission electronic ignition lock control unit (N73). If the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) was replaced.
