Remove/Install Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooler - AR27.55-P-1000MSC

Transmission 725.0 in model 167 with engine 176, 256.9

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove upper engine cover.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   Transmission 725.0 in model 167 with engine 176 AP01.10-P-2405-01M
    Transmission 725.0 in model 167 with engine 256.9
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Do not install upper engine cover until after the leak test.

2 Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter.    
3 Remove oil lines (3) from oil cooler (1) and seal with suitable stop plugs.   AR27.10-P-0501-03LF

4 Clam p off coolant hoses (2). SPECIAL TOOL Clamp Fig 4
5 Remove coolant hoses (2) from oil cooler (1) and seal openings with protective covers.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ

6 Push retaining clamp (4) upwards and remove oil cooler (1). NOTES
Push the retaining clip (4) up carefully. Otherwise, the retaining clamp (4) will be damaged.
If the retaining clamp (4) is damaged,

fasten oil cooler (1) at position marked by arrow using repair bolt and washer.
 
7 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
8 Check and correct oil level in automatic transmission.   AR27.00-P-0270EWN
9 Connect diagnostic unit device perform bleeding routine.

10 Check engine cooling system for leak tightness. Transmission 725.0 in model 167 with engine 176 AR20.00-P-1011MNO
    Transmission 725.0 in model 167 with engine 256.9 AR20.00-P-1010MSC
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug - fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
11 Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper leak tightness and leak tightness.    
12 Install upper engine cover. Transmission 725.0 in model 167 with engine 256.9 AR01.10-P-2405MSC
