Remove/Install Left Oxygen Sensor Downstream Of Catalytic Converter - AR07.04-P-0082MNP

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove heat shield (5) of exhaust gas turbocharger. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Do not install upper engine cover until after the leak test. AR09.40-P-6044MNP
2 Expose electric line; unclip, release and disconnect electrical connector (4).    
3 Remove the oxygen sensor on the left downstream of the catalytic converter (G3/5). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Coat thread with heat-resistant lubricating paste.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Oxygen sensor downstream of catalytic converter to exhaust system at front
*BA14.00-P-1002-02B 
    Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20 *BR00.45-Z-1005-06A 
    SPECIAL TOOL Box wrench bit Fig 3
4 Cover the tip of the oxygen sensor on the left downstream of the catalytic converter (G3/5) with a protective cover. When reusing oxygen sensor on left after catalytic converter (G3/5).
SPECIAL TOOL Set of protective covers

5 Seal threaded hole of left lambda sensor downstream of catalytic converter (G3/5) with suitable stop plug. SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 4
6 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the danger zone. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
7 Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.
