WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. AS20.00-Z-0001-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove upper engine cover.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP01.10-P-2405-01M
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.  
2 Slowly open cap of coolant expansion reservoir (1) and remove.    
3 Suction off coolant from coolant expansion reservoir (1). FLUID SPECIFICATION Coolant mixing ratio *BF20.00-P-1001-04A 
    SPECIAL TOOL Hand pump Fig 2
4 Remove bleed line (2) from coolant expansion reservoir (1).   AR20.30-P-0010-02XGA
5 Remove feed line (3) from coolant expansion reservoir (1).   AR20.30-P-0010-02XGA
6 Remove vacuum line (4) from coolant expansion reservoir (1).    
7 Remove screw (5). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, low-temperature circuit expansion reservoir at top to low-pressure line *BA09.41-P-1011-01X 
8 Remove coolant expansion reservoir (1) in upward direction. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Wet elastomer bearings (6) with lubricant.
Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L
*BR00.45-Z-1010-06A 
9 Check elastomer bearings (6) of coolant expansion reservoir (1) for damage. If there is a problem,

Replace the elastomer bearings (6).
 
10 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
11 Check low-temperature circuit for leak tightness.   AR09.41-P-1011MNO 
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
WARNING Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the danger zone. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
12 Carry out engine test run. While doing so, check low-temperature circuit for proper operation and leak tightness.
