Remove/Install Left Charge Air Temperature Sensor Downstream Of Throttle Valve - AR09.41-P-0041MNO

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove left air filter housing (1). Engine 176 in model 167
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

2 Remove engine compartment fuse and relay module (F152/3). Engine 177 in model 167 AR54.15-P-0005ME
3 Remove upper engine cover. Engine 177 in model 167 AP01.10-P-2405-01E
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.  
4 Release and disconnect electrical connector (2), turn left charge air temperature sensor (B17/14) clockwise and remove upwards. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Wet sealing ring with lubricant.
Lubricant, rubber assembly 1 L

5 Check sealing ring of left charge air temperature sensor (B17/14) for damage. If damage is present,

replace the charge-air temperature sensor on the left (B17/14).
 
6 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of burn injuries,  suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the hazard area. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
7 Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.    
INSTALLING Install     
8 Install upper engine cover. Engine 177 in model 167  
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP01.10-P-2405-01E
