2	Check front shock absorber for external oil leakage.	Model 257, 290 except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL)
		A light oil film on the shock absorber's piston rod is acceptable. In the event of a problem, ↓
		Replace front shock absorbers.	AR32.25-P-1018FR
3	Check rear shock absorber for external oil leakage.	A light oil film on the shock absorber's piston rod is acceptable. In the event of a problem, ↓ Replace rear shock absorbers.

4	Check elastomer bearings of rear shock absorbers	The elastomer bearings must be seated with zero clearance in the housing eye and they may not be cracked or damaged. In the event of a problem, ↓ Replace rear shock absorbers.

	Remove
5	Remove front shock absorber.	Model 257, 290 except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL) If damage is suspected that cannot however be detected in installed condition.	AR32.25-P-1018FR
6	Remove rear shock absorbers.	If damage is suspected that cannot however be detected in installed condition.

7	Check piston rod for surface damage, corrosion, bending and unobstructed movement in pilot bushings.	In the event of a problem, ↓
		Replace shock absorbers.
	Install

9	Install front shock absorber.	Model 257, 290 except code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL) If removed.

10	Lower vehicle.		AR00.60-P-1006A
