	Remove/install
1	Expose and fold down wheel carrier, and pull rear axle shaft (6) out of rear axle shaft flange.		AR35.20-P-0115S
	Notes on safety-relevant components	If the rear axle shaft (6) is sluggish, ↓ Press rear axle shaft (6) out of rear axle shaft flange and, if necessary, pull into rear axle shaft flange.	AH00.00-Z-0019-01A

2	Pry rear axle shaft (6) out of rear axle differential.	Do not rest the assembly lever on the protective ring (7). Support the assembly lever, e.g. using a socket wrench, on the rear axle differential.
3	Remove rear axle shaft (6).	: Replace retaining ring (8) on inner splined profile.
	Check
4	Check constant velocity joints for play.	If axial or radial play is present, ↓ replace rear axle shaft (6).
5	Check condition of boots (6a).	If damage or leaks are present, ↓ replace rear axle shaft (6).
6	Check condition of side radial shaft sealing ring in rear axle differential.	If damage or leaks are present, ↓
		replace side radial shaft sealing ring in rear axle differential.	AR35.30-P-4651S
7	Install in the reverse order.
8	Check and correct oil level in rear axle differential.		AR35.31-P-0520-08S
	Universal hypoid gear oils (specification 235.7)		BB00.40-P-0235-07A

9	Perform chassis alignment.		AR40.20-P-0200S
