Remove/Install Front Fender - AR88.10-P-1005S

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove longitudinal member panel. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Reinstall longitudinal member paneling only after adjusting fender (1). AR88.80-P-6000S 
2 Open engine hood and position vertically.    
3 Detach drip rail in the area of fender (1).    
4 Remove screws (2). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Tighten screws (2) slightly by hand. They are tightened after adjusting fender (1).  
5 Remove screw (3). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Manually slightly tighten screw (3). It is screwed in after adjusting fender (1).  
6 Remove cover (7) at the top and remove screw (9). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Slightly tighten screw (9) by hand. It is screwed in after adjusting fender (1).  
7 Remove nuts (4). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Tighten nuts (4) lightly by hand. They are tightened after adjusting fender (1).  
8 Detach fender liner until screws (5) are accessible.   AR88.10-P-1301S 
9 Remove screws (5).    
10 Mask off front door, A-pillar and bumper in the area of the fender (1) with tape.    
11 Remove fender (1).    
12 Remove grommets (6) and remove cover (7) from fender (1). When replacing to (1).
SPECIAL TOOL Dismantling tool

13 Change trim element (8) on fender (1). When replacing to (1).  
  Adjust     
14 Adjust fender (1); tighten screws (2, 3, 5, 9) and nuts (4). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Repair paint damage in area of screws (2, 3, 9) and nuts (4). AR60.00-P-0900-01S
    Front door to fender *BE60.00-P-1007-01PA 
    Engine hood to fender *BE60.00-P-1001-01PA 
    SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge Fig 2
15 Install in the reverse order.
