Remove/Install Roll Bar - AR91.50-P-2355LCA

WARNING Risk of injury  during testing and repair operations related to pyrotechnical components Do not expose pyrotechnical component parts to temperatures above 100°C or 212°F. Disconnect current supply when working on such component parts. AS91.00-Z-0008-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  when performing check and repair work in area of roll bar Keep body parts out of the area where the roll bars extend.
Do not use the cover in the area of the roll bar as a storage place for objects.

WARNING Risk of injury  . Moving parts can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area of mechanical components when moving components. AS00.00-Z-0009-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Perform emergency release of roll bar (1) If roll bars (1) deployed.
NOTES
If roll bars (1) are deployed then an emergency release of the roll bars (1) must be performed.
This enables the roof to be closed or the vehicle to be recovered.
IMPORTANT The unlocking buckle (4) must be pulled out up to the end stop (approx. 25 mm) upwards out of the housing. After this, the inner profile - when undamaged - can be pushed by force of the hand up against the spring for emergency release. It does not latch into place.
 
2 Open trunk    
3 Remove draft stop   AR77.25-P-2000LCA
4 Place draft stop onto rear bench seat and connect electrical connectors IMPORTANT The electrical connectors of the draft stop must be connected, otherwise the soft top cannot be closed.  
5 Partially close soft top IMPORTANT Leave soft top bow and soft top compartment cover in upright position.  
6 Unscrew trunk partition in rear area and place into vehicle   AR68.50-P-3003LCA
7 Disconnect ground cable on battery IMPORTANT Unscrew ground line from above through opened soft top compartment lid. AR54.10-P-0003LF
8 Detach electrical connections (3)    
9 Remove screw/bolts (2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, roll bar unit to body *BA91.50-P-1001-01A 
10 Unscrew bolts (5) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, connecting panel to body *BA64.10-P-1001-01C 
11 Remove roll bar (1) upwards    
12 Dispose of removed roll bar (1) properly IMPORTANT When replacing roll bar (1).  
13 Install in the reverse order
