Location 

The weight sensing system (WSS) control unit is installed under the seat cushion at the seat cushion frame of the front passenger seat.

Task 

The weight sensing system (WSS) control unit determines the applied weight on the front passenger seat via a pressure measurement in a seat mat filled with silicone. The signals of the weight sensing system (WSS) control unit are sent via seat occupancy LIN (LIN E2) to the supplemental restraint system control unit (N2/10).
