	Remove/install
1.1	Remove head restraints (2)	Model 217.3 Model 222.0/1 except code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) except code 224 (Individual rear seats)	AR91.16-P-1770LF
1.2	Remove head restraints (2)	Model 217.4	AR91.16-P-1770LCA
2	Remove armrest (3)		AR91.12-P-1745LF
3	Remove head restraint guides (5, 6) of backrest (1)	Model 217.3 Model 222.0/1 except code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) except code 224 (Individual rear seats) : Observe installation position of head restraint guides (5, 6). Insert suitable screwdriver into the openings (arrows A) of bracket (4) and release catch hooks (arrows B) of head restraint guides (5, 6).
4	Unclip head restraint cover (14)	Model 217.4 Removal:  Use a suitable tool to unclip retaining lugs at positions shown (arrows).
5	Unhook cover (1.1) at rear of backrest (1) (arrows C)
6	Unhook fabric tabs (arrows D)
7	Unhook cover (1.1) in area of (E)	: Note installation position of electrical wiring harness (9) in area of (E) under the cover (1.1).
8	Put cover (1.1) over padding (10)
9	Guide electrical wiring harnesses (8) through cover (1.1)	Model 217 with code 872 (Left and right rear seat heating) Model 222.0/1 with code 872 (Left and right rear seat heating) except code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) except code 224 (Individual rear seats)
10	Unhook staple wires (11) of cover (1.1) from retaining clips (13) at the seat surface side of padding (10) with a suitable screwdriver	Carefully unhook staple wires (11). Otherwise, the retaining clips (13) can be damaged. In case of damaged retaining clips (13) ↓ Replace padding (10)
11	Remove cover (1.1) from padding (10)	: Ensure that cover (1.1) is correctly seated on padding (10).
12	Pull staple wires (11) out of cover (1.1)	When replacing the cover (1.1). : Insert staple wires (11) into the new cover (1.1).
13	Install in the reverse order
