Drain/Fill Coolant For 48 V On-Board Electrical System Coolant Circuit - AR20.00-P-2014SC

WARNING Risk of injury  due to fan starting unexpectedly Do not reach into the rotation or hazard area of the fan. Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. AS20.40-Z-0001-01A 
WARNING Risk of injury  . Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

  Drain off     
1 Open hood and carefully unscrew cap (1) at coolant expansion reservoir and release overpressure.    
2 Remove front and center lower engine compartment lining.   AR61.20-P-1105S
3 Remove coolant hose (2) from the cooler for the 48 V on-board electrical system and collect escaping coolant in a suitable container.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ 
4 Install coolant hose (2) on the cooler for the 48 V on-board electrical system.   AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ 
  Pour in     
5 Connect vehicle diagnosis system and switch on ignition.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
6 Start fill mode of the coolant circuit for the 48 V on-board electrical system.    
7 Pour in the coolant and bleed the coolant circuit for the 48 V on-board electrical system. NOTES
Do not fill engine cooling system without
activating fill mode.
Proper distribution of the coolant is otherwise not
ensured.

8 End fill mode of the coolant circuit for the 48 V on-board electrical system.    
9 Start bleeding routine of the coolant circuit for the 48 V on-board electrical system. IMPORTANT This involves actuating the coolant pumps to remove residual air from the coolant circuit.
If the bleeding routine was not completed successfully:

Repeat bleeding routine of the coolant circuit for the 48 V on-board electrical system.
 
10 Switch off ignition and disconnect diagnostic system.    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
11 Check coolant level, correct if necessary. FLUID SPECIFICATION Cooling system *BF20.00-P-1001-02MA 
12 Install center and front lower engine compartment lining.   AR61.20-P-1105S
13 Screw the cap (1) onto the coolant expansion reservoir.
