	Remove/install
1	Buffer basic data of instrument cluster (KI) control unit (A1/1) in diagnostic system	When replacing instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1).
		Copy buffered basic data to new instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1).	AD00.00-S-2000-04E
2	Move steering wheel all the way to the rear and down	Model 447.6/7 with code CL1 (Height and rake adjustable steering wheel) Model 448.7
3	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key
4	Mask off instrument panel in area of cover (1.1)	This is to prevent any damage when removing the cover (1.1).
5	Unclip cover (1.1) from instrument panel	Unfasten cover (1.1) only, as it has to be removed together with the steering column trim (1.2). Make sure that the cover (1.1) and the extension (3) of the reset button (2) are seated correctly. Long wedge	Fig 1
6	Lift up steering column trim (1.2), unclip in direction of arrow and remove with cover (1.1)	Make sure that the trim (1.2) is seated correctly.
7	Loosen screw/bolts (4)	The bolts (4) remain on the instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1).
8	Unclip instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1) at clips (6), and remove far enough from instrument panel to gain access to the electrical connection (5)	Check instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1) is correctly seated.
9	Detach electrical connection (5) and remove instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1)
10	Install in the reverse order
	Check
11	Run function test of instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1)
