The signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) control unit (N10/1) is on the right on the A-pillar.

The signals are read in via the interior CAN (CAN B). The resultant functions are described in the respective function descriptions.

Instrument panel LIN (LIN 1)

The signals from the driver assistance systems operating panel control unit (N74) are read in via the instrument panel LIN (LIN 1) (with code EZ7 (Active Parking Assist) or with code JS1 (360° camera) or with code JW5 (Lane Keeping Assist) or with code ZK2 (Taxi version with emergency alarm system) or with code ZK3 (Taxi version without emergency alarm system)).

Roof LIN (LIN B13)

The signals from the overhead control panel (OCP) control unit (N70) are read in via the roof LIN (LIN B13).

Battery sensor-LIN (LIN B15)

The signals from the following components are read in via the battery sensor LIN (LIN B15):

Upper control panel (UCP) control unit (N72/1) (model 447.6/7 or model 448.7)

Heater LIN (LIN B28)

The signals from the following components are read in via the heater LIN (LIN B28):

Evaluation of signals

The signals that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the corresponding components are then actuated.
