The sound system amplifier control unit is located in the trunk/load compartment under the floor or behind the side trim.

Function requirements 

• Circuit 30t ON
• Electrical wake-up signal
• Audio muting from telematics services control unit not active

Function 

The sound system amplifier control unit has the following functions:

• Optimizing input signals using digital signal processing and sound optimization algorithms
• Implementing audio parameters from the multimedia system
• Amplifying the input signals
• Distributing audio signals to the speakers
• Adjusting volume to noise level
• Generation of engine sound (equipment specific)
• Engine sound reduction in vehicle interior (equipment specific)
