Emergency Lamp Control, Function - GF82.10-S-3013TRF
Model 447
with code XM0 (Facelift)
except code XM7 (MOPF II)
Function requirements, general
- "Circuit 15 ON"
The circuit status of circuit 15 is sent by the electronic ignition lock control unit (EZS) (N73) via the interior CAN (CAN B).
Emergency light actuation, general
The emergency light actuation ensures operation of the minimum exterior lighting in the event of failure of individual system components for the vehicle's exterior lights.
Function sequence for emergency light actuation
In the event of a bus failure on the interior CAN, the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) control unit (N10/1) activates an emergency light. The signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) control unit then actuates the tail light and brake light function (depending on the circuit status of circuit 54) and activates the standing light and low beam functions.
In the event of a bus failure on the front end CAN (CAN G) (with code LG2 (LED Intelligent Light System)), the left headlamp control unit (E1/1n9) and right headlamp control unit (E2/1 n9) activate an emergency light. As part of this, the standing light and low beam functions are switched on.
In the event of the failure of or a communication fault in the humidity sensor/light sensor/rain sensor/sun sensor (B38/3) or the rain and light sensor with additional functions (B38/5) (with code JF1 (rain sensor)), the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) control unit assumes it is "Night" and the automatic driving lights are activated.
On vehicles with CODE LG2 (LED Intelligent Light System), the left headlamp control unit, the right headlamp control unit, the left front actuation module, LED exterior lighting (E1/1n7) and the right front actuation module, LED exterior lighting (E2/1n7) are powered by the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) control unit. Power supply is provided crosswise via circuit 30L. In other words, if the signal acquisition and actuation module (SAM) control unit is defective, or if circuit 30L is missing, or if a driver has failed, then e.g. one side of the vehicle has active low beams while the other side has active standing lights.
