  1. Apply sealant to body.
  2. Install longitudinal member outer shell (1) and front door and fit.
  3. Install fuel filler flap.

    Only on left-hand side of the vehicle.

  4. Check gaps using SPECIAL TOOL feeler gauge and adjust.
  5. Fix longitudinal member outer shell (1) in place.
  6. Remove front door.
  7. Remove fuel filler flap.

    Only on left-hand side of the vehicle.

  8. Longitudinal member outer shell (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas A up to C).
  9. Longitudinal member outer shell (1) SHIELDED GAS PLUG WELD (area D).
  10. Longitudinal member outer shell (1) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD INTERRUPTED (area G).

    IMPORTANT Start and end shielding gas welds approx. 5 mm from e°e of sheet metal.

  11. Longitudinal member outer shell (1) SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (areas E and F).

    IMPORTANT Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.

  12. Grind shielding gas welds and shielding gas spot welds down flat.
  13. Clean weld joints.
  14. Restore surfaces on longitudinal member outer shell (1) and smooth.
  15. Remove shavings and drill chips.

  16. Model 447, 448.8 with code CN1 (Exterior rocker panel)

    Position rail (Y) and align.

  17. Model 447, 448.8 with code CN1 (Exterior rocker panel)

    Transfer holes of rail (Y) to body.

    IMPORTANT Then remove rail (Y).

  18. Model 447, 448.8 with code CN1 (Exterior rocker panel)

    Drill and center punch holes (arrows).

Deburr holes and remove drill chips.
