1. Install side wall paneling (1), rear side wall paneling bottom section (2), liftgate or rear-end door, seal and lock striker and fit.
2. Check gaps using feeler gauge and adjust.

   Model 447, 448.7 Gap dimension "DB"

   Model 447, 448.7 with code W65 (tailgate), model 447.7/8 with code W64 (rear window to be opened separately), model 447.8 with code W68 (electrically actuated tailgate) Gap dimension "GA"

3. Fix side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom part (2) in place.
4. Remove liftgate or rear-end door, seal and lock striker.

5. Drill Ø 7.1 mm rivet holes in side wall paneling (1) at defined punch marks (area B).
6. Model 447.6/7 except code W65 (Liftgate) except code W68 (Electrically actuated liftgate)

   Drill Ø 7.1 mm rivet holes in side wall paneling (1) at defined punch marks (area A).

7. Drill Ø 6.5 mm rivet holes in side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom part (2) (area C).
8. Remove side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom part (2).
9. Deburr rivet holes on both sides.
10. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.
11. Apply sealant to body.

12. Install side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom section (2) and fit.
13. Fix side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom part (2) in place.
14. Side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom section (2) (areas D to G).
15. Sidewall paneling (1) (Area H).

    Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.

16. Side wall paneling (1) 8G (areas I and J).
17. Rivet the sidewall paneling (1) and lower section of the rear sidewall paneling (2) with a Ø 6.4x14 blind rivet (area K).

30. Clean weld joints.
31. Restore surfaces on side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom part (2) and smooth.
32. Remove shavings and drill chips.
