Release Electric Parking Brake Mechanically - AR42.20-S-1000EA

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove respective rear wheel. IMPORTANT The electric parking brake must be manually released if the electrical component parts of the electric parking brake malfunction when the parking brake is actuated. AR40.10-S-1100E
2 Remove actuator motor of respective brake caliper (2).   AR42.20-S-0600E 
  Release parking brake     
3 Twist spindle (1) on brake caliper (2) until brake disk is accessible. IMPORTANT Model 447, 448 left side of vehicle
To do so, turn spindle (1) clockwise using a suitable tool (arrow A).
IMPORTANT Model 447, 448 right side of vehicle
To do so, turn spindle (1) counterclockwise using a suitable tool (arrow B).
 
INSTALLING Install     
4 Mount relative rear wheel. If the vehicle has to be moved.
NOTES
The vehicle is only maneuverable to a limited extent and no longer safe to operate. Never actuate the parking brake and never actuate the service brake.
Otherwise damage may occur.

  Further operations     
5 Install actuator motor of respective brake caliper (2). If the vehicle is being returned to its complete state. AR42.20-S-0600E 
6 Perform brake test on test stand. If the vehicle has been returned to its complete state.
