	Remove
1	Remove cover at left under the instrument panel.	Model 447.6/7 with code LC7 (Illumination for front footwell) Model 447.8, 448	AR68.10-S-1500E
2	Disconnect electrical connector (1).
3	Remove brake light switch (S9/3) from holder (2).
4	Remove holder (2).	To do so, press catches (arrows) together and remove holder (2).
	Install
5	Install brake light switch (S9/3) in holder (2).
6	Install brake light switch (S9/3) with holder (2).	To do so, operate brake pedal (3) and insert brake light switch (S9/3) with holder (2).
7	Connect electrical connector (1).
8	Adjust brake light switch (S9/3).	To do so, apply light pressure to brake pedal (3), insert feeler gauge with 1.0 mm thickness between brake light switch (S9/3) and sensor plate (4) of brake pedal (3), and release brake pedal (3). The brake lights switch (S9/3) is hereby set to the basic setting. Remove the feeler gauge after this. Commercially available devices/tools  Feeler gauge
	Check
9	Check air gap between brake light switch (S9/3) and sensor plate (4) of brake pedal (3).	Commercially available devices/tools  Feeler gauge If air gap is not 1.0 mm: ↓ Adjust air gap.
10	Check function of brake light switch (S9/3).
	Install
11	Install left cover under instrument panel.	Model 447.6/7 with code LC7 (Illumination for front footwell) Model 447.8, 448	AR68.10-S-1500E
