2	Check whether the vehicle is affected by the "V2RAILDRUC" measure	If the vehicle is affected by the "V2RAILDRUC" measure and this measure has not yet been performed: ↓ First program the CDI control unit software. Model 447.6##/7## ## as of 001854 up to 033083 with engine 622 If the vehicle is not affected by the "V2RAILDRUC" measure or this measure has already been performed: ↓ continue with operation step 3. 3	Print out DSB (Digital Service Booklet) service report from Input Process Output (EVA) system
4	Call up and note down service interval indicator using key combination via instrument cluster (IC) (A1/1)	See owner's manual under chapter: Maintenance and care → Service interval indicator → Call up service date.
5	Check values of service interval indicator against values from DSB (Digital Service Booklet) for plausibility	When the instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1) is programmed, a query is issued to determine whether the values are plausible.
	Update software
6	Connect diagnostic unit	Use XENTRY Diagnostics version 03/2015 with all associated and recent add-ons (in particular add-on 4383) or a higher XENTRY Diagnostics version. The operation steps must be performed exactly as per Xentry Diagnostics. If XENTRY Diagnostics is already connected to the vehicle: ↓ Proceed with step 7.
7	Connect battery charger
	Maintaining on-board electrical system voltage when performing test and diagnosis work on vehicle	During the entire work procedure a sufficiently large voltage supply must be provided for the vehicle's on-board electrical system. Otherwise any undervoltage that occurs may damage the control units. Use the charger to ensure that an adequate power supply (min. 12.5 V) is provided for the on-board electrical system battery. 8	Program software of instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1)
	Programming of control units	To do this, select the following menu items: Control unit selection → Information and communication → CI - instrument cluster (A1/1) → Adaptations → Control unit programming When the instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1) is programed, various queries are output. The oil specification may need to be defined via the selection screen. The engines are filled with the following oil specifications at the factory: Engine 622 with sheet 228.51  Engine 651 with sheet 229.51  The operation steps must be performed exactly as per Xentry Diagnostics. On MODEL 447.6##/7## ## up to 006926, it is possible that manual commissioning of the instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1) is started automatically. In this case, some data (e.g. initial registration and data regarding performed maintenance services) will need to be entered (refer to the DSB (Digital Service Booklet)). Programming proceeds automatically after the data has been entered. After programming, SCN coding of the instrument cluster (IC) control unit (A1/1) starts automatically.	AR54.21-S-0014E

12	Withdraw ignition key	The operation step is required for resetting the instrument cluster.
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
13	Insert ignition key and start engine	Allow the engine to run for just a few seconds. Operation of the engine causes the instrument cluster to be reset.
14	Turn off engine
15	Call up service interval indicator using key combination via instrument cluster (IC) (A1/1) and compare with entries from DSB (Digital Service Booklet)	See owner's manual under chapter: Maintenance and care → Service interval indicator → Call up service date. The values in the instrument cluster (IC) (A1/1) must now be identical to the values from the DSB (Digital Service Booklet).
