1. Unclip and remove cover (1).
2. Unscrew the screw (2) and remove the holder (3).
3. Mark installation position of the guide (5).
4. Remove screws (4) and remove guide (5).

   : Note marking of the installation position of the guide (5).

5. Detach sealing frame (6) on liftgate in area of side trim (7).
6. Detach retaining clips of side trim (7) in area of arrows (A) using long wedge.

7. Insert long wedge between side trim (7) and window frame in area of arrows (B) and release retaining clamps.

   : Carefully detach side paneling (7).

   Otherwise, the side trim (7) and the retaining clips can be damaged.

   : Make sure retaining clips are seated correctly on window frame rabbet.

8. Carefully remove side trim (7) until electrical connector on rear side is accessible.
9. Disconnect electrical connector from right rear load compartment socket (X58/12).
10. Install in the reverse order.
