  Deactivation     
1 Park vehicle in an area with cell phone reception. If control unit (5) is replaced.
IMPORTANT The vehicle requires mobile phone reception to perform the software disassembly process of the control unit (5).		  
2 Connect charger to maintain on-board electrical system voltage. If control unit (5) is replaced.
IMPORTANT Leave charger switched on during entire programming.		 AR54.10-S-1127E 
3 Contact hotline via XSF ticket. If control unit (5) is replaced.

IMPORTANT The following must be entered when creating the XSF ticket:
"OLU Deactivation" symptom VIN
Serial number of control unit (5)
Add comment under problem description: "HW replacement - Deactivation of service"		 SI82.85-S-0050B
4 Switch on ignition and follow the instructions from the hotline. If control unit (5) is replaced and the hotline makes contact by telephone.
IMPORTANT The hotline initiates the uninstallation of the target software of the control unit (5) via the cellular telephone system as soon as the ignition of the vehicle is switched on.		  
5 Switch off ignition and follow the instructions from the hotline. If the control unit (5) is replaced and the telephone contact with the hotline is accepted.
IMPORTANT If the target software is successfully uninstalled, the hotline makes contact by telephone with the request to switch off the ignition.
If the uninstallation was not successful, follow the instructions from the hotline to rectify the problem.
IMPORTANT The XSF ticket is closed by the hotline as soon as the uninstallation process of the target software has been completed successfully.		  
6 Disconnect charger. If control unit (5) is replaced. AR54.10-S-1127E 
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
7 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). If control unit (5) is reused.  
8.1 Unclip and remove cover (1) at right seat base. Model 447.6

REMOVAL IMPORTANT Release guides (1.1) of cover (1) with a SPECIAL TOOL long wedge (2) and release cover (1) at retaining clamps (3).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Insert guides (1.1) of cover (1) under seat base and engage retaining clamps (3).

8.2 Unscrew screws (8) and remove cover (7) from seat console (9). Model 447.6/7

9 Unscrew screws (4) and guide out control unit (5) until electrical connectors (6) become accessible.    
10 Release and disconnect electrical connectors (6). IMPORTANT Number of electrical connectors (6) can vary.  
11 Install in the reverse order.    
  Perform initial startup     
12 Perform SCN coding of control unit (5). If control unit (5) was replaced.  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS   IMPORTANT With SCN coding, the control unit (5) in the 1st stage is operational and on-line. AD00.00-S-2000-04E
13 Park vehicle in an area with cell phone reception. IMPORTANT Vehicle required to perform the software installation process of the control unit (5) and for the function test of the cell phone reception.  
14 Activate on-board electrical system trickle charge. If control unit (5) was replaced.
IMPORTANT Leave charger switched on during entire programming.		 AR54.10-S-1127E 
15 Contact hotline via XSF ticket. If control unit (5) was replaced.

IMPORTANT The "OLU activation" symptom, the FIN and the serial number of the control unit (5) must be communicated via XSF ticket.		 SI82.85-S-0050B
16 Switch on ignition and follow the instructions from the hotline. If the control unit (5) has been replaced and the hotline makes contact by telephone.
IMPORTANT The hotline initiates the installation of the target software of the control unit (5) via the cellular telephone system as soon as the ignition of the vehicle is switched on.		  
17 Switch off ignition and follow the instructions from the hotline. If the control unit (5) has been replaced and the telephone contact with the hotline is accepted.
IMPORTANT If the target software is successfully installed, the hotline makes contact by telephone with the request to switch off the ignition.
If the installation was not successful, follow the instructions from the hotline to rectify the problem.
IMPORTANT The XSF ticket is closed by the hotline as soon as the installation process of the target software has been completed successfully.		  
18 Perform function test via actual value query or fault codes.

19 Disconnect charger. If control unit (5) was replaced. AR54.10-S-1127E
