General 

The alcohol breathalyzer is installed in the vehicle and measures the driver's breath alcohol. If the value determined by the alcohol breathalyzer is above the permissible value, an immobilizer is activated.

Function requirements 

The following conditions must be met for the alcohol breathalyzer to be used:

• Circuit 15 R ON

Function 

The alcohol breathalyzer is connected to the vehicle architecture via a LIN connection.

If the driver wishes to start the vehicle, they will be prompted to use the alcohol breathalyzer to determine their breath alcohol value.

The vehicle will only start if the measured breath alcohol value is within a permissible range.
