	Remove/install
1	Extend thigh rest (15) by approx. 4 cm.
2	Remove front seat.		AR91.10-P-1000FR
3	Remove outer trims at seat frame.		AR91.10-P-1201FR
4	Remove inner trims at seat frame.		AR91.10-P-1202FR
5	Release catches (arrows A) using a suitable tool, detach thigh support (15) and place onto seat cushion padding (1).	Observe positioning of hooks (13, 14).
		Pay attention to routing of electrical wiring harness (12).
6	Unhook left rear passenger compartment footwell lamp (E17/17) or right rear passenger compartment footwell lamp (E17/18) from seat adjustment unit and hang to one side with connected electric line.
7	Unhook terminal strip (4).	Dismantling tool	Fig 2
8	Unhook tabs (3).
9	Remove electrical connectors (2) and disconnect. 		The number of electrical connectors (2) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.
		Secure electrical wiring harness onto seat adjustment unit so that it is possible to adjust the front seat without any restrictions.
10	Remove and disconnect electrical connector for seat ventilation motors. 11	Unhook cover from below all way round on seat cushion frame.	Hook in cover, starting at corners.

13	Unhook cover in area of previously removed thigh rest (15).
14	Unhook piping (16) and remove thigh rest (15) from seat cushion padding (1).	Pay attention to routing of electrical wiring harness (12).

		It is not permissible to replace the following components of the front passenger seat individually: Seat cushion cover Seat cushion padding (1) Sensor mat A repair can only be carried out through complete installation of a service kit (consisting of seat cushion cover, seat cushion padding (1), and sensor mat). This is a closed safety system that has been calibrated in advance.
21.2	Remove seat occupancy recognition.
