	Check
1	Check gap dimensions on the driver's door (1).	Always perform adjustment work on uneven gap dimensions on upper and lower hinge leaves. Otherwise tension and damage can occur.

	Remove
2	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m).
3	Remove screws (16) and remove lock striker (15).
4	Remove door sill trim.
5	Remove bottom trim for instrument panel (9).		AR68.10-P-1501FR
6.1	Remove bottom insulation insert (6) from the A-pillar (10).	Model 257.### 1#, 290.### 1#
		The lower insulation insert (6) is inserted into the A-pillar (10) before the nuts (4).
6.2	Unclip front passenger side A-pillar fuse box from the A-pillar (10) and place to one side.	Model 257.### 2#, 290.### 2#
		Do not disconnect electrical lines.
7	Release bracket (12) with front SAM control unit (N10/6) and move out of the direct working area.	The bracket is fastened with three nuts to the A-pillar (10).
		Do not disconnect electrical lines.
8	Remove top insulation insert (7) from the A-pillar (10).	The upper insulation insert (7) is inserted into the A-pillar (10) before the nuts (5).
	Adjust
9	Loosen nuts (4, 5) on the A-pillar (10) one after the other, adjust driver's door (1), and tighten the respective nut (4, 5) again.	Do not loosen nuts (4, 5) simultaneously. If the driver door (1) comes into contact with other components, the paint can be damaged.
		Do not tension hinges (2, 3) when adjusting. Otherwise the hinges (2, 3) can be damaged.

10	Loosen screws (13, 14) on the driver's door (1) one after the other, adjust transition to the front fender, and tighten respective screw (13, 14) again.
	Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths		AH00.00-P-0015-01CW
		Do not release screws (13, 14) simultaneously. If the driver door (1) comes into contact with other components, the paint can be damaged.
		Do not tension hinges (2, 3) when adjusting. Otherwise they may be damaged.
		Front fender contour must be flush with driver's door (1) contour or may protrude by max. 1 mm.
		Use torque wrench (17) in combination with bent bit holder (18) to tighten bolts (13, 14).
		Screw/bolt, hinge to front door	*BA72.10-P-1001-01W
11	Position lock striker (15) on B-pillar and screw in screws (16) all the way.	It should still be possible to adjust lock striker (15).
12	Align lock striker (15) by carefully closing the driver's door (1).	Driver's door (1) contour must be flush with side wall contour or may protrude by max. 1 mm.
13	Tighten screws (16) of the lock striker (15).	Bolt, lock striker to B-pillar	*BA72.10-P-1004-01W
	Install
14	Repair paint damage on the bolt heads of the respective screws.
15	Protect driver's door (1) and A-pillar (10) in the area of both hinges (2, 3) against corrosion.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
16	Install top insulation insert (7).
17	Install bracket (12) with front SAM control unit (N10/6).
18.1	Install bottom insulation insert (6).	Model 257.### 1#, 290.### 1#
18.2	Clip front passenger side A-pillar fuse box into A-pillar (10).	Model 257.### 2#, 290.### 2#
19	Install bottom trim for instrument panel (9).		AR68.10-P-1501FR
20	Install door sill trim.
	Check
21	Check adjustment of the front side window; adjust if required.		AR67.30-P-0100FR
22	Calibrate 360° camera in outside mirror of the driver's door with the vehicle diagnosis system.	Model 257, 290 with code 501 (360° camera)
