	Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof.	No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
	Remove
1	Remove driver's door.		AR72.10-P-0500FR
2	Mark installation position of the driver's door hinge leaf (1.1) and mark A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2).
3	Remove door sill trim.
4	Remove lower trim for instrument panel.		AR68.10-P-1501FR
5	Release bracket (5) with front SAM control unit (N10/6) and move out of the direct working area.	The bracket (5) is fastened to the A-pillar with 3 nuts. Do not disconnect electrical lines.
6	Remove top insulation insert (3).	The top insulation insert (3) is inserted into the A-pillar before the nuts (4).
7	Unscrew nuts (4) from A-pillar; release A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2) and remove.	Long wedge	Fig 1
8	Remove seal below A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2) from A-pillar.
9	Clean A-pillar the area of the hinge support.	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
10	Remove screws (2) and remove driver's door hinge leaf (1.1).
	Install
11	Align driver's door hinge leaf (1.1) according to previously applied markings on the driver's door and tighten screws (2).	Screw/bolt, hinge to front door	*BA72.10-P-1001-01W
12	Align A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2) with seal based on the previously applied markings and tighten nuts (4).	Helper required for exact positioning and holding of A-pillar hinge leaf (1.2). Nut, hinge to A-pillar	*BA72.10-P-1002-01W
13	Install driver's door.		AR72.10-P-0500FR
14	Open and close driver door.	The installation position of the driver door may change later due to opening and closing.
	Check
15	Check gap dimensions on the driver's door, adjust.		AR72.10-P-0551FR
	Install
16	Repair paint damage at respective bolt heads.
17	Protect driver's door and A-pillar in the area of the hinge against corrosion.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
18	Install top insulation insert (3).
19	Install bracket (5) with front SAM control unit (N10/6).
20	Install bottom trim for instrument panel.		AR68.10-P-1501FR
21	Install door sill trim.
