| 1 | Commission the liftgate control unit (N121/1) using vehicle diagnosis system. | When replacing liftgate control unit (N121/1). | |

| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Remove lower liftgate trim. | AR72.20-P-6617FRX | |
| 4 | Disconnect electrical connectors (1). | ||
| 5 | Remove screw (2) and take off liftgate control unit (N121/1). | ||
| 6 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| Normalizing | |||
| 7 | Close the liftgate by hand. | ||
| 8 | Switch driver trunk lid/liftgate control button in driver's side door trim to "Open" position until liftgate has reached upper stop. | ||
| 9 | Switch driver trunk lid/liftgate control button in driver's side door trim to "Open" position again for 4 s. |
