| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Adjust driver and front passenger seat into fully reclined position | ||
| 2 | Disconnect ground line on battery. | AR54.10-P-0003FR | |
| 3 | Remove roof lining and place onto seats. | ||

| 4 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (2) at gas generator. | Fig 2 | |
| 5 | Remove screw (3) and unhook holder of gas generator from body. | *BA91.60-P-1004-01O | |
| 6 | Press tabs (arrows B) together through the openings (arrows A) with suitable pliers and remove clamps (4). | ||
| 7 | Remove window airbag unit (1) with gas generator and place in vehicle. | ||
| 8 | Remove window airbag unit (1) with gas generator from vehicle. | Handle window airbag unit (1) carefully. Otherwise, the interior equipment or paint may be damaged. |

| 9 | Install in the reverse order. | ||

| 10 | Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system. | When replacing window airbag unit (1). | |
