1	Remove air duct segments of upper engine cover and air filter.
2	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift.		AR00.60-P-1006A
3	Shift the transmission (1) into neutral position.
4	Release parking brake.
5	Remove ground line of battery.		AR54.10-P-0003ME
6	Remove cover below transfer case (5).	If installed.	AR61.30-P-1001ME
7	Remove lower engine compartment paneling.		AR61.20-P-1105ME
8	Detach oil lines from transmission (1) and oil pan and place to one side.		AR27.55-P-0600MSC
9	Detach ground line (2) from transmission (1).
10	Remove heat shield (4) from transmission (1)		AR27.40-P-0700-01GZ
11	Release, disconnect and expose electrical connector of transmission (1).
12	Remove shield plate from transfer case (5).	Transmission 725.0 in model 167 with engine 256.9 with code 430 (Offroad package)
13	Release and disconnect electrical connector from transfer case control unit (N15/7) and detach electric line from transfer case (5).		AR28.19-P-1003MSC
14	Release and disconnect electrical connector from transfer case absolute sensor (B57) and detach electric line from transfer case (5).	Transmission 725.0 in model 167 with engine 256.9 with code 430 (Offroad package)

15	Remove propeller shaft.		AR41.10-P-0050MSC
16	Remove propeller shaft to front axle differential.		AR41.10-P-0070MSC
17	Remove cover (3).
18	Detach torque converter (10) from integrated starter-alternator (A79).		AR27.20-P-0001-01EWM
		Do not use an impact wrench or compressed air tool to remove the bolts. Otherwise, the threaded unions (14) in the integrated starter-alternator (A79) will be damaged.

19	Strap down transmission (1) and lower it far enough until all screws (19) around the circumference of transmission (1) are accessible.

20	Detach 48 V wiring harness from transmission (1).
21	Support front of engine between front crossmember and engine using wooden wedge.	To ensure the engine is in the correct installation position for the transmission (1).

23	Remove transmission (1) with torque converter (10).

		Secure the torque converter (10) to prevent it from dropping down. Damage will otherwise occur.
24	Remove torque converter (10).	If necessary.	AR27.20-P-0050EWM
25	Unscrew screws in reverse order to tightening procedure and remove centering flange of integrated starter alternator (A79).	Tightening procedure of integrated starter alternator	AR15.40-P-0003-01MRT

26	Remove seal (15) between transmission (1) and timing case cover.
