	Remove
1	Remove the integrated starter alternator.		AR15.40-P-0003MSC
2	Clean timing case cover (2) in the area of the radial shaft sealing ring (1).	Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
3	Pry out the radial shaft sealing ring (1) using a suitable tool.	Do not damage crankshaft and timing case cover (2). Leaks can occur otherwise.
	Check
4	Check sealing surface of the radial shaft sealing ring (1) in the timing case cover (2) for ridging and damage.	If ridging or damage is present, ↓ replace timing case cover (2).	AR01.40-P-8000MSC
	Clean
5	Clean sealing surface in the timing case cover (2) and on the crankshaft.	The radial shaft sealing ring (1) and contact surface on the crankshaft must be grease-free. Leaks can occur otherwise. Assembly cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1028-04A
	Install
6	Slide the radial shaft sealing ring (1) in the direction of the arrow onto the insertion device (3a).	Insertion tool	Fig 2
7	Position insertion device (3a) at crankshaft and fix in place with two screws.	Insertion tool	Fig 2
8	Slide the insertion device (4) onto the insertion device (3), place on the insertion device (3a) and tighten the nut slightly by hand.	Align bores in insertion device (3) with screws in insertion device (3a).

9	Install the radial shaft sealing ring (1) until the insertion device (3) lies on the timing case cover (2).	Radial shaft sealing ring (1) must be flush with timing case cover (2). Leaks can occur otherwise. Ensure that the radial shaft sealing ring (1) is positioned uniformly around its entire circumference. Insertion tool	Fig 2
10	Remove the insertion devices (3, 3a, 4).	Insertion device	Fig 1

11	Install the integrated starter alternator.		AR15.40-P-0003MSC
12	Check engine oil level and correct.		AP18.00-P-1812SKI
