	Remove/install
1	Disconnect ground line from battery.		AR54.10-P-0003ME
2	Remove rear seat cushion.		AR91.12-P-1021ME
3	Remove bolt (2).	Bolt, side section of rear seat backrest to holder	*BA91.12-P-1012-03M
4	Release side section (3).	The side section (3) is fastened in the center with a plastic lock.
		Mounting wedge	Fig 2
5	Extend side section (3) and lift far enough until the electrical connector (4) is accessible.	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.
6	Release and disconnect electrical connector (4) and remove side section (3).
7	Remove nuts (5).	Nut, sidebag unit to backrest frame	*BA91.60-P-1009-01R
8	Detach ground line (7).	Make sure that the ground line (7) is routed correctly.
9	Release and disconnect electrical connector (6).	Removal lever	Fig 3
10	Unhook outer cover from side section (3) in area of side airbag (1) and lift far enough until the side airbag (1) is accessible.
11	Remove side airbag (1) and place down on a suitable mat.
12	Install in the reverse order.
	Check
13	Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using diagnostic system.
