Remove/Install Roof Railing - AR77.40-P-5000LW

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove headliner.   AR68.30-P-4300LWS
2 Remove liftgate control unit (N121/1). Model 205.2, 213.2, 253.1/9
with code 890 (EASY-PACK-tailgate)
When removing left roof railing (1).
IMPORTANT The electrical connectors (4) need not be disconnected.		 AR72.29-P-0003LW
3 Release bracket (5) of the liftgate control unit (N121/1) from the trunk lid/liftgate control drive unit (M51/3) as shown. Model 205.2, 213.2, 253.1/9
with code 890 (EASY-PACK-tailgate)
When removing left roof railing (1).		  
4 Remove bracket (5) from the working area until the nut (2) below is accessible. Model 205.2, 213.2, 253.1/9

When removing left roof railing (1).		  
5 Unscrew nuts (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, roof railing *BA77.40-P-1001-01D 
6 Release window airbag (6) until the screws of the bracket (7) are accessible. Model 205.2

7 Remove screws of the bracket (7) and remove bracket (7).    
8 Unscrew nut (3). NOTES The roof railing (1) must be held by a helper. Otherwise the paint can be damaged.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, roof railing		 *BA77.40-P-1001-01D 
9 Remove roof railing (1). NOTES Carefully remove roof railing (1).
Otherwise the paint can be damaged.		  
10 Install in the reverse order.
