		Pay particular attention to the cleanliness of the tools used. Otherwise, the trim parts will be soiled.
2	Remove battery for E-Call Russia control unit (N167) from headliner.	Ensure proper routing of the electrical wiring harness and electrical connectors (5) as well as proper insulation of the battery. Stow the electrical wiring harness as far as possible above the roof lining. To prevent noise during driving operation. The battery is installed above the roof lining in the area of the overhead control panel control unit (arrow C).
3	Release and disconnect electrical connector (5) for battery from E-Call Russia control unit (N167).
4	Wrap felt tape around battery.	If installing a new battery.
5	Install in reverse order.
	Check
6	To activate the self-test of the E-Call Russia control unit (N167) press and hold the (1) button for approximately 1 s.	Several announcements will be made during the self-test. If at the end of the self-test all indicator lamps (2) and the SOS button light steadily for 5 s, this means that the self-test was successful.
